The Austin Theatre Alliance brings together two amazing theater companies to present the best in theater, dance, film and concerts at the group's historic and renovated facilities in downtown Austin.

The Paramount Theatre for the Performing Arts and the State Theater Company formed an alliance in 2000, and since then have presented varied entertainment including:

• A film screening of the original Batman classic film followed by a Q&A with actor Adam West
• Actor Zach Efron and Director Richard Linklater Live at the Paramount Theatre
• Cocktails with actor Larry Miller

The theater has been called the crown jewel of the downtown arts scene. The Austin Chronicle named The Paramount Theatre an "All-Time Winner" in its Best of Austin 2009 Readers and Critics Poll.

The Alliance promotes live theater, dance, concerts, children's programs, as well as acting classes, films and more..

The two theaters include the historic Paramount Theatre, which seats 1300, and the intimate State Theater, which seats 350. Two other theater spaces are being incorporated into the group: The new Horton Foote Theater with its 100 seats and a cabaret theater.
